June 20: Alternate TLDs Take 20% of Annual Sales

June 20th Weekly Domain Sales Trends

With the summer approaching and half the year complete, we are taking a look at the percentage of alternate TLDs that have sold this year. With almost 20% of all domains sold this year being non-dot-com domain names, it shows an 18% increase in this category of domains sold since April.

Food for thought:

  • TLD is playing less of a role in end user purchases
  • More desirable dot com names are less available
  • SLD plays a much larger role than domain sellers believe
  • An increase of 18% is only a reflection of typical domain sale trends month to month
  • What are you thoughts? Make a comment below and lets discuss.
