Fast Transfer Resubmission Comes to Afternic

In January, we unveiled a highly-anticipated tool at Afternic, enabling users to process pending review domain names directly via the user interface, without needing support intervention. This tool quickly gained popularity as thousands of listings were processed within the first few weeks.

We’ve received a wealth of positive feedback, with many sellers requesting the inclusion of Fast Transfer re-processing.

Today, we’re launching the next step for the tool, Fast Transfer resubmission.

What is Fast Transfer?

Fast Transfer is a multi-registrar technology that automates the transfer of your domain name to the buyer post-sale. Available for popular extensions like .com, .org, .co, .io, and .xyz, Fast Transfer is an opt-in service that streamlines the management of your sales while providing access to Afternic’s Premium Network, boasting 85 million monthly domain search queries*.

There are two key benefits that come with having a Fast Transfer domain:

1. The domain is listed with the largest domain resellers, so more potential buyers see it.
2. The domain can be transferred immediately, which buyers love because they get immediate control of the domain after they buy it.

Fast Transfer is an opt-in service for eligible domains, requiring sellers to authorize Fast Transfer with their registrar.

How to Activate Fast Transfer Listings

To activate Fast Transfer for your domain names, Afternic needs to connect with your registrar, which will then send you an automated authorization email.

In the past, activating Fast Transfer for your eligible domain names may have required support intervention, especially following a 60-day registration lock.

Now though, resubmitting your Fast Transfer listings for activation is simpler than ever. Follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your Portfolio page and locate the “Fast Transfer” column.
2. Identify and select any domain names with the status “Opt-in Required.” Pro Tip: Sort the column to ensure you don’t overlook eligible listings.
3. Click “Resubmit Listing” from the footer toolbar.
4. Confirm your action in the Resubmit listing modal that pops up.

Our system will now process your Fast Transfer resubmission, as well as Pending Review domain names.

If eligible for Fast Transfer activation, you’ll receive an email from your registrar within 24 hours. Authorize your listing through your registrar, keeping in mind that the process may vary slightly depending on the registrar.

What’s Next?

In 2025, our product team has launched two iterations of the resubmission tool, initially addressing pending review domain names and now enhancing Fast Transfer. But we’re not stopping there; our team is committed to further developing this toolkit to offer even more capabilities and automation.
