But we heard you loud and clear: you wanted a faster way to reinvest your earnings and ideally reduce fees along the way. Enter Good as Gold Payouts.

Introducing Good as Gold Payouts

Good as Gold functions like a pre funded digital wallet. It’s a spendable USD balance in your GoDaddy account that you can use for:

• Auction buys, including traditional auction wins and closeouts
• Portfolio management, including renewals and transfers
• New domain registrations
• Afternic-powered purchases through GoDaddy

Think of it as keeping your capital in play. Instead of waiting for funds to land in an external account, your money stays in the ecosystem where you’re already doing business.

Why switch to Good as Gold?

If you’re a domain seller who builds or manages your domain portfolio at GoDaddy, Good as Gold delivers key advantages:

• Faster access to your funds: Once your sale is approved and scheduled for payout at Afternic, your funds are moved directly into your GoDaddy wallet. This is typically faster than traditional wire transfers or other external methods.
• Fewer payout fees: In some countries, payouts can come with bank fees or currency conversion costs. By keeping funds in your GoDaddy wallet in USD and spending them there, you can avoid many of those charges. Learn more about payout fees here.
• Ready to spend on your next deal: As soon as your Good as Gold funds appear in your account, they’re available to use on eligible GoDaddy purchases, including domains and auctions.

Good as Gold works best if you’re actively buying, renewing, or transferring domains at GoDaddy.

How to set up Good as Gold as your payout method

Good as Gold is available now as a payout method for all Afternic sellers. To start using it:

1. Connect your GoDaddy and Afternic accounts
   1. Make sure your GoDaddy account is linked to your Afternic account. Here’s a video to show you how:

2. Set Good as Gold as your default Afternic payout method
   1. Go to Payment settings page in your Afternic account.
   2. Create or edit a Payee profile
   3. Select Good as Gold as the payout method for domain sale payments.

For future sales, Afternic will send your payout directly into your Good as Gold wallet instead of to PayPal or wire, as long as Good as Gold remains your default method.

Once your domain is sold or leased, the payout will be credited as Good As Gold in your linked GoDaddy account.

What happens next?

Once you’ve saved Good as Gold as your payout method, your next completed sale will be credited directly to your GoDaddy wallet.

You can check your Good as Gold balance at any time from the Payment methods area in your GoDaddy account.

Important: Identity verification over $2,000
If your Good as Gold balance is more than $2,000 USD, GoDaddy is required to verify your identity before you can spend those funds. You can complete verification in your GoDaddy account using our partner Persona by selecting your Good as Gold payment method and clicking Verify identity.
