We’re thrilled to introduce the latest feature for domain name sellers: Self-Brokerage. This innovative system combines the best of Afternic, Uniregistry, and Dan.com, allowing you to choose to directly negotiate with buyers from Custom Lander leads.

Exclusively available to members of GoDaddy’s Discount Domain Club’s top tier, this DIY option puts you in the driver’s seat of your domain deals.

A Closer Look: Self-Brokerage at Afternic

Following on from key releases in 2025 including domain resubmission tool, comes Self-Brokerage.

With Self-Brokerage, domain sellers can engage directly with buyers from Custom Lander leads to facilitate a domain sale.

Utilize your negotiation skills, deep knowledge of your domain names, along with the tools and expertise provided to members of GoDaddy’s Discount Domain Club’s top tier to achieve successful domain sales.

By employing an interface modeled after Afternic’s Lead Center, users have the capability to oversee active negotiations and engage directly with prospective buyers. Key features of Self-Brokerage at Afternic include:

• Dedicated Platform: We’ve combined the strengths of Afternic, Uniregistry, and Dan.com to launch a new Self-Brokerage platform, making it effortless to track and negotiate leads received via the Custom Lander.
• Direct Communication: Take charge of your negotiations with personalized, direct communication with buyers through Self-Brokerage. Each negotiation features a comprehensive timeline of messages and key events from start to finish.
• Real-time Updates: Stay in the loop with instant message notifications. Both you and the buyer will receive updates in real-time, ensuring seamless communication.
• Buyer Experience at GoDaddy: Buyers can enjoy direct negotiations through their own version of Self-Brokerage, hosted at GoDaddy, enhancing their confidence throughout the domain purchase process.
• Broker-backed: At any point, you can call upon our expert brokers to assist in closing a deal – at no additional cost.

Once a sale is agreed upon and the buyer pays, our Transaction Assurance system will handle the closing process, with standard commission fees applicable.

Self-Brokerage and Discount Domain Club

We work with domain investors of all experience levels and want to ensure smooth, successful negotiations for both buyers and sellers.

Due to the complexities of direct negotiation, especially for new investors, we’re providing exclusive access to Self-Brokerage to members of Discount Domain Club’s top tier to ensure domain sellers are equipped with market insights for effective engagement.

Approximately 100,000 members have access to Self-Brokerage already, as members of Discount Domain Club’s highest tier. These members are provided with essentials for successful self-negotiation through Domain Academy’s comprehensive educational program, and professional tools.

This reinforces our commitment to fostering high-quality buyer interactions.

How to Use Self-Brokerage

Using Self-Brokerage at Afternic is simple. To connect your Discount Domain Club membership to Afternic, take the following steps:

1. Head to the Afternic.com, and click “Sign in.” Then, click “Sign in with GoDaddy”
2. You’ll be prompted to sign in to your GoDaddy account. Use your GoDaddy username and password associated with your DDC membership to sign in
3. Next, click “Continue” on the “Connect your account to Afternic” page
4. Select “Link my existing account.” Sign-in with your Afternic credentials. After successful sign-in, your Afternic account will be linked to your GoDaddy account
5. You’ll then be redirected back to Afternic, where the Self-Brokerage platform will now be accessible

Then, you have two steps to take to begin receiving leads:

1. Go to Account Settings, and toggle “Make Offer” leads from our brokerage team, to yourself.
2. Use Custom Lander, with “Make Offer”: Switch your domain’s landers to our popular Custom Lander and ensure that your domains have Make Offer set to display.

Receiving and negotiating leads is simple, through our real-time platform. For every new negotiation, you’ll receive email and dashboard notifications.

Negotiations take place through the new Self-Brokerage interface where you’ll be able to talk to buyers one-on-one in our secure environment.

If needed, you can reassign leads and let our expert brokerage team close the deal by using the “Action” link in your negotiation panel.
