Good as Gold Bonus Gets an Upgrade: Up to 5% Rewards for Afternic Sellers 

In March and April, we ran our first Good as Gold bonus pilot offering a flat 3% bonus on every Afternic payout. Many of you took us up on that offer, so now we’re giving you even more. 

Starting May 1, you can earn up to 5% more on payouts through Good as Gold, meaning more capital to reinvest in your domain portfolio, with no added fees.  

What is Good as Gold? 

Good as Gold is a USD balance within your GoDaddy account that functions as spendable capital. When you choose Good as Gold for your Afternic payouts, your earnings are available to: 

• Renew your domains  

• Buy domains at GoDaddy Auctions, including traditional auctions and closeouts 

• Acquire inventory by registering new domains or buying through Afternic-powered listings 

• Pay for GoDaddy products like Discount Domain Club membership 

The advantage is speed and efficiency. Instead of waiting for external deposits and transfers, your capital remains active in the ecosystem where you’re already investing. 

How the New Progressive Bonus Works 

Using Good as Gold as your payout method will earn you up to 5% extra on payouts processed between May 1 and June 30, 2026. Your bonus, spendable within GoDaddy, is determined by the total net sales proceeds of each transaction during the bonus period.  

Net Sales Proceeds (your payout) = Total Sales Price – applicable commission  

Here’s what you could earn for sales paid out through Good as Gold: 

• Promotional Period: May 1 – June 30, 2026 

• Bonus Payment: July 2026 (all eligible bonuses paid together) 

• Eligibility: Good as Gold must be selected as your payout method before the payout is processed

Example 1: Your net sales proceeds are $3,000. That falls in the $0 – $4,999 tier, so you earn a 5% bonus: $150 credited to your Good as Gold balance in July 2026, to spend at GoDaddy. 

Example 2: You sell several domains during the Promotional Period, and your payouts total to $20k. In this scenario, your bonus would be $600.  

• 5% bonus on the first $5,000 ($250) 

• 3% bonus on the next $5,000 ($150) 

• 2% bonus on the next $10,000 ($200) 

$250 + $150 + $200 = $600, for an effective bonus rate of 3%. 

The bonus is calculated on net sales proceeds, or your payout. Bonuses stack across multiple sales during the Promotional Period, so the more you sell through Afternic in May and June, the higher your July bonus. 

How to Activate Good as Gold 

Already enrolled in payouts through Good as Gold? You’re automatically eligible. No action required. Your May and June payouts will earn the progressive bonus. 

New to Good as Gold? Follow these steps: 

1. Connect Your Accounts 

2. Update Your Payment Method 

• Visit afternic.com/account/payments 

• Select Good as Gold as your payment method 

• Save your changes 

3. Confirm Your Setup 

• Your next Afternic payout will go to Good as Gold 

• Check your Good as Gold balance anytime in your GoDaddy account 

• Track your bonus eligibility for payouts processed May 1 – June 30 

Important: You must select Good as Gold before the payout is processed to qualify for the bonus. We recommend making the switch now to ensure all May and June payouts are eligible.
